Print & Web Design Fundamentals
Analog and Digital Illustration
I have an extensive history of work across art, design, technology, business, and philanthropy. Here’s a glimpse at a few projects.
When Covid first hit, we knew the people of our city were struggling, especially those in the healthcare and service industries. We built a website and raised almost $13,000, with 100% of the money used to send catered meals to local hospitals, supporting both restaurant and healthcare workers.
While running Andculture’s innovation lab, we built a project evaluation and management tool called Fathom. It empowers anyone within an organization to articulate problems and opportunities, and work together towards a solution.
I’m passionate about transforming complex datasets into interactive, accessible, and easily understandable experiences. The data-driven projects I’ve had the chance to work on are some of my favorites.
These prototypes are from Pulse, a data analytics dashboard I designed for hospitals to predict the workload of units to ensure proper staffing. The technology behind this project was pretty impressive.
We partnered with local universities to imagine a digital hub allowing everyone on campus to stay safe and healthy. With Unflock, students could get food delivered safely, reserve clean and isolated facilities, and avoid crowded areas throughout their day.
I can clearly communicate complex ideas and processes like sitemaps, user flows, and system architecture diagrams. I make at least a few of these for every web and digital product project I work on.
I typically have a pointillism illustration project going on at most times. It gives me something to do when I just need to let my mind take a break. This Leica took about 60 hours to complete.
My passions for design and beer get to collide once and a while for friends who homebrew or breweries looking for professional label designs. I will never turn down the chance to design a beer label.
I run a handmade sticker and greeting card brand. Most of my work is on a computer, so it’s nice to mix it up with physical craft and a bit of gallows humor. I plan to launch more brands in the future, with each donating 10% of their profits to an important cause.
Iconography is vital for communicating complex concepts in apps and websites. I’ve created sets with dozens or hundreds of consistent, scalable, and accessible glyphs.
Onboarding and engagement startup Appcues commissioned me to design a compass-themed t-shirt featuring their logo. I also did some UX/UI product work for them early in their startup days.
I created a browser-based game called Battle Lab, where players created unique characters by collecting mutations and fighting monsters. The modular character system allows for thousands of combinations.
